I am a Principal Design Technologist for AWS Prototyping & Cloud Engineering in NYC. I design customer-centric experiences and interfaces for prototypes that employ Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, Internet of Things as well as Spatial Computing.
Customers I’ve worked with include: NBA, Marriott International, Deere & Co., Discovery Channel, The New York Times, Light & Wonder, Daytona International Speedway, LLoyds of London, Bridgestone, HBO, The Ad Council, Comcast. There are more, but much of this work is not public / highly confidential.

My interests in UX include Human-Centered Design and Design Thinking as well as Product Design Sprint Facilitation. I am very interested in the intersection of Art and Code. I have previously served as UX Director for both agencies and startups. For a time, I was also an Interactive Director for NPR & PRX’s “State of the Re:Union” hosted by Al Letson. I've also spent years as a volunteer teacher / facilitator for the AIGA, AAF Creative Chair, and Creative Director for the Code on the Beach developer conference.
I have won numerous W3 Awards, Davey Awards, Horizon Awards, Pixel Awards, ADDYs, AWS Envision Engineering Innovation Player of the Year 2020, and 3x AWS Prototyping Challenge Coins.
Outside of work, I ran a blog and record label called Synconation. I hosted a weekly radio show recorded at the University of North Florida which was also syndicated on NPR affiliate 89.9 WJCT. I now spend my spare time as the bassist for the Los Angeles-based rock band The Black Pine.
