How do we train models to classify non-existent artifacts? I propose acknowledging the emerging role of a Situation Designer: one who creates virtual representations of real-world circumstances for training and simulation. I also highlight advancements in design technology like digital twins and machine learning model training for synthetic image data generation, with focus on parameterizing environmental and situational factors to create realistic virtual scenes.
