An establishing designer for startups and emerging organizations.

I have a strong foundation in traditional design with a focus on information technology through 19 years of professional experience, serving both as a people manager and an individual contributor.

My résumé is best seen on LinkedIn.

I have a strong foundation in traditional design with a focus on information technology and 19 years of professional experience, serving both as a people manager and an individual contributor. My career has been diverse, spanning start-ups, agencies, cloud providers, public broadcasting, and public archaeology—I believe variety truly is the spice of life.

My affinity for diversity has allowed me to experiment with emerging technologies through human-centric prototypes that employ Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, Internet of Things, and Spatial Computing. I'm also dedicated to giving back as a volunteer facilitator, mentor, and teacher, most recently speaking to the Industrial Design program at CUNY. On a personal note, I'm a tinkerer, musician, and proud dog dad.

Approach

Approach

Approach

Approach

I design with critical optimism and radical transparency

Transparent

I believe in sharing and testing, early and often. Perfection is the enemy of progress.

Scientific

I begin my work with a human-centric, evidence-based approach.

Focused

I fall in love with the problem, not the solution. I scope my design investments to match what we need to know and demonstrate first.

Iterative

Critical design phases all have heuristic definitions of "done," until we know better.
